Hair and Makeup Services- Alison Maissin

  1. Booking Fee (deposit)

    • a non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your appointment or wedding/event date.

    • Your booking is not confirmed until the booking fee is received.

    • The booking fee is deducted from your final balance on the day of service.

    • Booking fees are used to reserve your date/time and cover the administrative costs of holding that appointment.

    • Once paid, the booking fee cannot be transferred to a different person or service.

    2. Payments

    • All prices are listed in AUD.

    • Final balance for bridal are due 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

    • For studio or mobile appointments, the remaining balance is due at your appointment.

    • Payments can be made via: cash or bank transfer.

    3. Cancellations and rescheduling

    Client cancellations

    • all cancellations must be made in writing.

    • Booking fee is non-refundable, except for extreme circumstances.

    • This is because the date/time has been reserved specifically for the client and other enquiries have been denied.

    Cancellations made:

    • 7 days prior to appointment- no further payment is required

    • Within 72 hours of the appointment- 50% of the remaining balance is payable.

    • Within 24 hours of the appointment- 100% of the remaining balance is payable.

    • For bridal bookings- all t&c’s are mentioned in the contract.

    Rescheduling

    • rescheduling is treated as a cancellation:

    • if a new date is unavailable

    • the request is made within 14 days of your appointment (non bridal)

    4. Artist cancellations

    • in the rare case that Alison must cancel due to illness, emergency or circumstances beyond her control, she will:

    • provide a full refund of the booking fee and

    • assist in sourcing a replacement artist where possible

    5. Travel, Parking and early start fees

    • travel fees will apply for mobile appointments and will be quoted at the time of booking.

    • parking fees (if applicable) must be covered by the client

    • early call-outs may incur an additional fee depending on location and timing.

    6. Service conditions

    • please arrive with clean, dry hair and a cleansed face unless otherwise instructed.

    • if you arrive late, your service may be shortened or cancelled with full fee’s payable.

    • For group bookings, all participants must be ready at their allocated time to avoid delays.

    7. Photos & Social Media

    • Alison may take photos or videos for the final look for her portfolio, website and social media

    • if you do not want your images used, please notify Alison

    8. Hygeine & Health

    • Your safety is a priority. brushes, tools and kits are sanitised according to professional standards.

    • Please notify Alison in advance of any allergies, sensitivities or skin conditions.

    • Alison is not liable for reactions if she was not informed of sensitivities prior to the service.

    9. Liability

    • Alison is not responsible for any allergic reactions, injury or loss occurring during or after the service unless caused by proven negligence.

    • Alison is not liable for delays or incomplete services caused by circumstances outside of her control (eg- client lateness, venue access restrictions, weather or traffic delays).

    10. Right to Refuse Service

    • Alison reserves the right to refuse service if a client is:

    • rude, aggressive, intoxicated or

    • exhibiting behaviour that compromises safety or comfort

    • full fees will still apply if a service is refused under these conditions.

    11. By Booking, You Agree to These Terms

    By paying your booking feem you confirm that you gave read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Service.
